Elizabeth Dessert Hunt pursued her undergraduate degree at both the Manhattan School of Music studying with Ellen Faull and Stetson University, where she studied with Bob and Mollie Rich. She continued her study at the graduate level with Grace Hunter and John Moriarty at Boston Conservatory of Music. She has performed a number of leading roles, including Rosalinda in Die Fledermaus, Rosemene in Handel's Imeneno, Angelica in Gilbert & Sullivan's Trial by Jury, Suor Angelica in Puccini's Trittico, and Malvina in the American premier performance of Marschner's Das Vampyr.
